Human Friends Organization (HFO) strongly advocates for the protection of human rights, dignity, and fundamental freedoms for all people, including those living in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). HFO expresses deep concern over reports of human rights violations in the region, including restrictions on civil liberties, suppression of freedom of expression, arbitrary detentions, violence against civilians, enforced disappearances, and limitations on political and humanitarian rights. HFO believes that every individual deserves to live in peace, dignity, freedom, and security in accordance with international human rights principles and humanitarian standards.

Advocacy and International Awareness

Human Friends Organization actively raises awareness regarding the human rights situation in Kashmir through peaceful advocacy initiatives, public dialogue, and participation in national and international forums.
Through peaceful demonstrations, policy discussions, and international conferences, HFO highlights the importance of:

  • Protection of fundamental human rights
  • Freedom of expression and peaceful assembly
  • Protection of civilians and vulnerable populations
  • Access to justice and accountability
  • Peaceful conflict resolution and dialogue
  • Respect for international human rights obligations

HFO President Sajid Christopher has represented these concerns at various international platforms, including peaceful demonstrations held outside the United Nations, calling upon the international community to support peaceful solutions and address the humanitarian and human rights concerns faced by the people of Kashmir.

Commitment to Peace and Human Dignity

HFO remains committed to promoting peace, justice, human dignity, and nonviolent advocacy. The organization believes that lasting peace can only be achieved through dialogue, respect for human rights, adherence to international law, and protection of the rights and freedoms of all communities. Through its advocacy efforts, HFO continues to stand in solidarity with victims of human rights abuses and supports peaceful initiatives aimed at ensuring justice, dignity, and fundamental freedoms for all people.
