Under the project “Human Rights Promotion, Punjab” HFO is strengthening the capacity & role of the Provincial Task Force on Human Rights and the District Committees on Human Rights in Punjab for effectively monitoring the human rights violations in the province. The strategy is built around two key components: (1) Role Revitalization & Engagement of The Provincial Task Force on Human Rights; (2) Advocacy & Lobbying for Stricter Legislation on Child & Underage Marriages. The program targets the provincial task force & district committees and build their capacity and facilitate their engagement towards monitoring human rights violations in their respective districts. HFO collaborates with Punjab Government’ Department of Human Rights Minorities Affairs to strengthen the capacities of the Task Force and District Human Rights Committees in the province of Punjab.
